First visit was on a very busy St. Patrick's Day 2023... we got their corned beef and cabbage dish special with a boozy pickle shot. Service was outstanding, very well staffed. It was amazing but unfortunately, I did not get photos of it, so had to go try the food again. This time I ordered a gyro and amazingly there was the option for lamb instead of chicken- like the menu says. It was incredible!!! Hands-down one of the best gyros I've enjoyed! I also up-sized the boozy pickle shot into a full drink and loved that- it has pickle gin, so definitely great option for all the pickle lovers! My spouse ordered a Poutine burger. It was excellent as well. The only issue this time was the hundreds of flies, they kept swarming around the food on the table and there were many in the window sills. I didn't like having to swat them away non-stop. Their doors were all closed so not sure how so many were in there... but yes, I will absolutely return. Atmosphere is otherwise great and the employees

There are great options on the menu. I tried thr Korean BBQ sandwich. The pickled cucumber and red onions with the slaw was awesome. Can't wait to go back

A cute little bar with decent food and good service. I had heard about their vegetarian options so I was excited to try this place out. Unfortunately, they have very little in the way of vegan options or dairy substitutes on a menu that is fairly small to begin with so that was disappointing. The service was good and I enjoyed the cute little touches like the bathroom mirrors. Because of the limited menu options and it being located a little out of the way in a primarily residential/business location I probably won't be back unless meeting friends but that's just me. It's definitely worth a try though.

I've been here probably 6 times in as many months, and it's always top notch food, top notch ambiance, and over the top service. If you've never been, don't hesitate to try Sacred Cow, it'll be worth your time and money. Maybe don't try to eat the Irish Nacho Fries by yourself ;)

Service was excellent. The food was really good! The pricing of meals I feel was really good! I think a double cheeseburger was about $14 or $15? And it was big! Great specials! The BLT was big! I had the cheese steak with gyro chicken instead, and the chicken had great flavor! I really liked the pepperjack cheese sauce they make. And the side winders were seasoned and good! UPDATE been a while since i was last here. Their burgers are smash burgers, and really good. They changed their fries from sidewinders to fries that were thick, fluffy potato slices, which were really good! Had a bloody mary, they use zing zang for their tomato juice which I was perfectly fine with with their rail vodka. Had the monster burger, which is not on their menu. Was charged for the burger I originally ordered, which was cheaper than their monster burger. It was soooooo good! Their coleslaw had great fla or also!

Fun atmosphere with great food & service. The salads are unique, huge, fresh & the best in the area. Pictured is the Elote corn & grilled shrimp salad.other favorites include the soft pretzel salad & Mediterranean salad.

Lydia, our server was fantastic! What a great neighborhood place. Their happy hour is 3 to 6 every day. The dipper potato fries are something very different and delicious. The fish was OK. Will definitely be back to try more menu items. House made pickles crunchy with a sweet tang.

FANTASTIC - this place has some amazing food. Probably the best I’ve had in Cedar Rapids by far. The burgers are smash burgers and are cooked to absolute perfection. I’ve had a looooot of burger and this is very near the top of the best list. Their curds and elote stuff are just off the charts. Also, try that pickle beer, it’s goooood. Eat here. Be happy.

I can't believe we hadn't been here before! I love the fun interior of this place. The upside down lamps made me smile. You can go with just you, you and a friend, or a group and find a fabulous experience. Service was great and the food came quickly. TVs are scattered high on the walls, so going during game time works out great! The fries were not what I expected and they were so much better than I imagined (I'm picky about fries)!! Great with just a single condiment or get them loaded! You'll see a picture of the Backwoods burger, which is a smashed burger dripping in a homemade BBQ sauce and topped with bacon, cheese, and onion tanglers. *We didn't know what to expect, so we got the single smash burger. It was enough for us! You'll also see the Poutine burger, which is also a smash burger with mushrooms, cheese curds, fries, gravy, and onion tanglers. We'll return, for sure!

The food is awesome - my favorite is the burger but I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ordered off the menu. Happy hour is great and being able to bring my dog to the patio is a bonus too.

This place definitely deserves more than 5 stars. Found this place on google search figured we would give it a go. It is very cozy and comfy and fun inside. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing before we left we tried a cocktail and cheesecake for dessert, both were absolutely amazing. I liked the food looked and tasted fresh nothing, tasted like it was frozen or microwaved like some places. We will definitely visit again and I encourage you to stop by get a drink or something to eat you won’t regret it.
