This landscaper took off one star for RED mulch 😬😬😬. Hurts my teeth & aesthetically from a design standpoint, it is gauche. If you live in the desert SW … m.a.y.b.e. It is colored with iron oxide🫤. Walk in the woods & look between your feet. The forest floor is deep brown. I use an eco-friendly, naturally colored DEEP FOREST BROWN, Scott’s Color Advantage or Earthscapes. Mother Nature needs no improvement. One caveat, I suppose. It is not BLACK, which has carbon black as an additive & is more unnatural than red. Deep brown makes everything pop; greens & other colors. Red clashes with everything but boulders, including the vinca/periwinkle planted at the flagpole. Use the photo & edit it to change mulch color & the difference can be appreciated.
