Established in 1972. End O Line Railroad Park and Museum is located on the site of the former Currie. Currie, Minnesota was founded in 1872 by Neil and Archibald Currie. In 1900, a 38-mile branch line extending from Bingham Lake to Currie was completed. Rumors that the rail line would extend west of Currie proved untrue, and Currie remained the "End of the Line." A manual turntable was constructed on the site 1901 in order to more easily turn the steam engines around and return them east. By the late 1920s, passenger service to Currie was discontinued. By 1968, the Currie depot closed. The last train left Currie in 1977 and the line was officially abandoned in January 1980. However, even before the line was officially abandoned, local residents took the initiative to preserve the community's railway heritage. In 1972, the local 4-H Club, launched a project to restore the turntable and repair/move the old depot. Their efforts ultimately led to the creation of the Park & Museum.
