TLDR: great service, scheduled drop offs for maintenance, always nice and accommodating.I've been coming to Diamond Cycle since 2020 when I purchased my first bicycle (as an adult) and they continue to do phenomenal work.This shop helped set me up with what has turned out to be the best commuting bicycle I could have ever wanted, including warranty and maintenance. They talked me through all the maintenance I should do to be a good bicycle owner, including for the tires and chains for longevity. They've also worked with me to help determine good intervals for maintenance vs how much I ride, since I average ~40 miles commuting per week.Diamond Cycle was able to help me fix my bicycle after I was hit by a car. These guys are my permanent cycling shop now. I get great cycling education by Chris every time I come. They helped me with a warranty replacement for a bike that I didnt even buy from them. Another time I needed a tune up on a Cannondale supersix eveo. But the time they were done the bike actually rode better than when I bought it new. When the replacement frame came they set up the bike the exact same way that the original bike was. I t was like riding my old bike but much smoother. I been to a lot of different bike shops. If had to compare bike shops , its like going from a GM dealership to a Mercades dealership. I wn both types of cars so that comparison is 8s from experience. I have full confidence in every mechanic and technician that works there. I don't desire a particular person because they are all good. Just try them out im telling you, you will not be disappointed.

As a European tourist in USA, taking my road bike with me would cost more than airfare for my family of 4. Rental in Diamond Cycle Montclair was an ideal choice: easy reservation online, cordial staff, big public parking garage nearby, they had an extra Garmin mount for my Edge 1030, bike had 2 water bottle mounts - ideal for humid and hot NJ summer. My rental Giant Defy was light, comfortable for me (5' 10"). Staff was kind enough to mount my own Garmin Vector 2 pedals so I was able to continue my power meter-based training rides while on 2 week vacation.
