Our knowledgeable and experienced instructors will not only show you how to play and perform, but also the theory and fundamentals behind it. Each of our teachers have warm personalities and enjoy sharing their love of music with you. Colorado Music Institute welcomes students of all ages from beginners to advanced students. Our kiddos have been attending CMI for a while now. My son has been with Bill Travis for several years learning drums. Bill has been a rock for my son, who seems to have found a passion for drumming through Bill, who teaches with a passion, and a child-like heart. My son is inspired and challenged by him, and eager to continue with lessons and practicing. Thanks for everything Bill!

My clarinet lesson with Maggie is the highlight of my week, as she is wise, curious, funny and very tolerant of my squeaks! I have had a lot of music lessons in my life, but mine with her are the most fun and rewarding.

Friendly, convenient, good hours and it’s all about music when you enter.My cello instructor Josep L is super. He knows his stuff. He’s professional but very personable. His corrections are right on. The class is a fun challenge, always keeps me learning and improving. I enjoy the homework assignments and going over music in all aspects.
