WHO WE ARE NOT: It is very likely that this may not be the right group for you. We don't focus on aesthetics (even though it's a bi-product of the process). We don't do long slow cardio because we know that it's ineffective and we sure as heck don't do "Core Training" because we know that putting weight on your back is far more effective than sit-ups. You also won't find us slamming weights in to the floor or screaming & yelling unless it's to celebrate a PR.
WHAT WE DO: We focus on simple, challenging and effective training using barbells and loaded human movement. Our workout's consist of the main four lifts: Squats, Overhead Presses, Deadlifts and Bench Presses along with just enough assistance and supplemental lifts to continue to drive progress on the main four and we follow Simple, Challenging and Effective principles for programming that drive fast, safe and lasting change.

Cheyenne Barbell started out as an idea to get myself in to better shape. When I found success at it, my family and friends wanted to get involved, so it grew to a basement gym but when they started to get their friends involved, I quickly ran out of space and equipment. I debated doing a garage gym but ultimately, I decided to take my unique knowledge of physics, biology, anatomy and physiology (as adapted to strengthlifting) and share it as wide as possible. I now coach competitive powerlifters, seniors, aspiring athletes and more generally, normal people who want real results for weight loss and improved health.
