I contacted A Cut From Above for an estimate for edging 3 walls of my newly installed fence with hydrangeas and preparing my backyard lawn for Spring. The estimate happened to fall on the same day as a rain storm, but the estimator Jay didn’t hesitate to come and complete the estimate anyway. What can I say except perfect! I’ve worked on a lot of houses and this particular one we needed exterior landscape services and interior demo. In 3 days they turned the exterior of our house from overgrown and outdated to clean and open. We had all the bushes and dead trees removed with the roots. Then they planted brand new shrubs. They beautifully laid sod and mulched the beds. The curb appeal they provided in 3 days was outstanding.Interior demo is always a bear. They cleaned out demoed beyond my expectations. Jay and his team are wonderful to work with. They completed a series of waterproofing projects including exterior waterproofing (sealing the outside of one side of the house, dry well, replacing pipes to the street), interior French drains, removing an ejector pump in the basement, moving the sump pump to a better location, and scraping/repainting/waterproofing the interior walls. Jay and his team lead Elder are patient, kind, and generous with their time, always willing to explain the process. They are extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. Jay hires good people- the whole crew is a great group. The work is detailed, thorough, and the plan is thoughtful. They sent a cleaning crew to clean the basement after the drains, without us asking. Prices are good as well. We feel grateful for their work in helping make our basement a useable space. We’re very happy with the work and the experience. Highly recommend!!

We are a local coffee shop, LACKAWANNA COFFEE, in Jersey City, NJ. Several rainstorms knocked off our greenery and vines in our backyard causing our business to close down our backyard.Jay and his team came in and did a fantastic job on our backyard and exceeded our expectations. Not only they exceeded our expectations, they saved our existing greenery from being cut down. They built a pergola with pressure treated wood to house our greenery.
