Specialties: Welcome to Carlson & Turner Antiquarian Books & Bookbindery! We've been in business now for over 40 years. We hope you find something of interest to you among our inventory. The shop houses more than 40,000 antiquarian, scholarly, and used books, including a large inventory of general used books in various categories, including scholarly books in various fields, nautical, travel, civil war, history, railroad, as well as many others. We also deal in rare manuscripts, maps, photographs, and fine art prints along with small antiques and oddities. So if you're in the area please do stop in for a visit. Established in 1977. Started by David Turner & Norma Carlson the shop was briefly located in the Old Port area of town until the early 80's when they moved permanently to the present Congress Street Location. The business was purchased by Scott Wilson in the mid 1990's and Bookbindery Services were added shortly after. The shop is located in a historic 1888 Victorian era building housing 20,000-30,000 volumes along with hundreds of antique maps and prints along with a carefully curated selection of small antiques and oddities.
