I found the floor messy because of the confectionary sugar but I saw some crew cleaning them so they try to make it clean. We tried the Cafe Au Lait. Was good. We tried the beignets. Delicious. My partner doesn’t like sweets and they were gobbling the beignets up. The powder sugar was really fun too as when you bit into it the powdered sugar would go everywhere. I would recommend not wearing black or something that you want sugar all over. I was a bit disappointed with their coffee options. They had hot or cold coffee with only whole milk or sugar options. This coffee did pair well with the beignets as it wasn’t sugary. I did see someone dipping their beignets in the coffee. This place has a very limited menu. They were cheap and it was such a fun experience with live music. It was self seating and was very busy. Highly recommend checking this place out as a check fun experience. Read more

The chicory coffee is rich and satisfying. My cup was just broken but they gave me a new one. Be prepared for crowds, and note that tables are first-come, first-served. You are probably going to stand in a line, but I was pleasantly surprised how fast it moved. Don't forget to bring cash, they don't accept cards. Café du Monde is a New Orleans icon that's definitely worth visiting, even if it's not entirely "exceptional". The retro vibe is enhanced by live musicians, and the atmosphere is lively with blues music playing right next to the coffee shop. As a cultural landmark, it's fascinating to learn about its past, and the crowds are a testament to its popularity. The real charm lies in the history and culture. Be prepared for powdered sugar to get everywhere, lol! The only drawback is the restroom, which could use some TLC. Still, it's a must-visit spot in New Orleans, and you'll likely leave with a sweet treat Read more

I know other people are very critical saying it’s not what they expected or the service was rushed. Come on people the place is busy as can be. They will be lucky to find a seat. There’s powdered sugar everywhere - it’s loud . It’s confusing. It’s expensive and it’s fried dough. Our waiter was lovely and the experience was worth it. The beignets were hot. They were delicious. They were covered in mounds of powdered sugar. The coffee was creamy and wonderful and hot. The view was incredible watching all of the people, the tourist, the locals. It was an amazing experience take it for what it’s worth. try to find a seat. Try to take a breath and enjoy the moment. And yes, make sure you get the powder sugar down the front of your shirt. It’s part of the mystique. Read more
