They are very relaxed and honest about what they recommend and sell to you. I feel very comfortable taking their recommendations and just letting them do their thing without worrying about them squeezing every penny that they can out of me. I've found that their prices in terms of service and repairs are arguably the best in town; It may be attributed to the fact that they're in a nice quiet uptown neighborhood compared to some of the other shops on magazine or frenchman. The Bike Shop was helpful courteous and knowledgeable to this rookie casual bike rider. When I got my bike back it truly felt different. Everything moved better and every time I pedal the bike now it feels so much smoother and efficient. I’m appreciative of the work and customer service. Aaron is an easygoing and knowledgeable mechanic. He answered all of my questions and was clear on the phone about the costs of my repairs and the options for the replacement parts. I ride daily and am hard on my relatively cheap bike, and it felt better than new after he worked on it! The total price was a little higher than I would've liked, but it's Freret St and I have zero complaints about the quality of service (and I chose to upgrade a couple parts). In my experience it's been a very fast turnaround time, which I appreciate as a commuter. Definitely isn't one of those pretentious bike shops that only caters to lycra'd out cycling bros with thousands to spend. Thank you! Read more
