Located in Downtown Fort Smith, providing a unique experience as a top social destination. The 1920’s baking facility still has its’ original brick and mortar walls but has been retrofitted with updated sound, lighting, and HVAC systems. The interior has been redesigned to host a coffee lounge/roastery, a catering kitchen, a bocce-ball court as well as indoor/outdoor event space to be the setting of your next event. As a former bakery operating from 1921-1996, The Bakery District was originally known for the mass production of bread. The Company’s line of business grew to include the manufacturing of fresh and frozen bread, rolls, cakes, pies, and other perishable bakery products.

Lots of food trucks here, when I arrived all of them were closed except one... Lily's sandwiches. As I wasn't sure what I wanted to eat anyway, this worked in my favor. The sandwich was the best sandwich I think I've ever had! It was a homemade pesto, shaved fresh turkey, and sauteed tomatoes on sourdough. The ingredients spoke for themselves and the preparation was spot on. The gentleman working the food truck, (I believe was the owner) was incredibly friendly and since it was slow, delivered my food to me at the Mad Ox brewery across the way. Eat here as soon as you can! You won't be disappointed.On that note, the Mad Ox was a very cool place to grab a beer, near atmosphere, friendly bartenders, good beer. Will definitely be back!

I relaxed while sipping the fantastic coffee that some locals recommended. A panini sandwich was also perfect. The atmosphere is something you have to experience. You feel like you’re right there in the Shipleys bakery with all the memorabilia and machines around you. The seating area is perfectly done. Love the high ceilings and industrial look.
