We had Nolita Bakery make our wedding cake and it was perfect. Martha was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. We do not live in the New Orleans area so we were not able to do a tasting before the wedding but that was no problem at all because it was literally the most delicious cake I have ever eaten. We had a layer of vanilla and a layer of orange blossom and I am still dreaming of this cake. When I return to NOLA I will most certainly check out the bakery. This hidden gem of a bakery/cafe has been our saving grace! Before our first visit, they kept selling out and closing early, so we knew it was going to be amazing. We live around the corner, and go multiple times a week now. The owner & Chef, Martha, always greets you when you walk in. Blake always has a huge smile and is so friendly, and they are all so personable. There isn't a single thing they sell that isn't short of extraordinary. Easily one of if not THE best croissants we've ever had in our lives. The chocolate chip cookie is gigantic. The Cinnamon Bun is also huge and delicious. Their specialty options throughout the week are always on point and normally gone if you can't get there early for them. Truly, the best bakery/cafe in the area, and probably the city as a whole. I believe she also does private cakes/cupcakes, other specialty things. If you're visiting, plan to stop here Wednesday-Sunday EARLY. We love Nolita, and I guarantee you will also! Read more

A few weeks ago I hired Nolita to cater a baby shower and was beyond impressed by everything they prepared and the service they provided. I gave the owner an idea of what we wanted and she and her team were able to whip up an amazing spread for us. They made the best buttery flaky croissants I have ever had in my life! I’ve been craving them! Thankfully Nolita has a brick and mortar on Orleans ave where I can find more of these perfect croissants when the craving hits.Nolita also prepared a beautiful chocolate and buttercream icing cake that was to die for. If I lived in New Orleans I’d probably be here all the time. My cake was absolutely perfect! I ordered online and then had an email exchange with Martha and she even let me pick it up on a day she was closed. I came in got the cake and she gave us 2 pieces of king cake to try as well since we had both never had any. I asked for a simple cake and gave her some reference photos. I’m super indecisive so I ended up going to the store and getting fake flowers to put on it. She asked if I wanted anything more done to it but I didn’t want to bother her since the day I picked it up she was supposed to be closed anyway! I stupidly did not take photos before I put the fake flowers on. Martha is very kind and the cake was given to me at a great price point($55 for 6in cake). We love Nolita and visit regularly. Our favorites are the chocolate chip cookie, cinnamon bun, almond croissant, & crawfish bread when it’s in season. I’ve also had their custom cakes several times and they are DELICIOUS. We ordered our kids birthday party cake here and we loved how it turned out. Nolita has a nice indoor space as well as a courtyard outside. We often visit with little kids, and I like that they have an outdoor space for playing, plus a shelf with books & toys available to play with inside.
