What People love about this company
The Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center is built on 170 acres of land that was part of Fort Chaffee. In addition to the spacious building surrounded by hickory and oak trees, the grounds are home to a series of trails and Wells Lake, a popular fishing destination. The rear deck overlooking Wells Lake is an excellent place to take in the view and enjoy a quiet moment outdoors. The trails around the lake feature exhibit signs highlighting the lake, grounds and animals using the area. Visitors also can watch for wildlife attracted to feeders and a circulating stream near the corner of the building.

We went here to have a fun budget friendly day. It was awesome we have 4 kids ages 13 ,7 ,6 and 2 and they all enjoyed themselves. They all got to fake fish with their little set up . It has alot of interaction with items. Thier are hiking trails as well.

Our family has enjoyed the Nature Center dozens and dozens of times in all seasons. It's a gift to the River Valley! Trails (paved and wooded), natural playscapes, fishing/archery/canoes, picnic tables, a small pavilion, a kids' learning center indoors, animals to observe, educational programs, a large classroom, a bird observation center...this place is a gem!
