About this role

Fully remote, flexible contract role with Alignerr for a Writing & Literature Expert to evaluate and enhance AI-generated written content. No AI background required, just a strong command of English and expertise in writing.

Review, evaluate, and improve AI-generated prose, essays, and written content for quality, coherence, and style. Provide detailed feedback to enhance AI writing capabilities and ensure professional publishing standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated prose, essays, and written content for quality, coherence, and style
  • Identify issues with tone, structure, grammar, argumentation, and factual correctness
  • Edit and refine AI-generated text to meet professional publishing standards
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
  • Assess accuracy of literary analysis, critical writing, and language-related AI outputs
  • Evaluate translations and cross-cultural content for naturalness and nuance
  • Provide detailed, structured feedback to enhance AI writing capabilities

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in English, literature, linguistics, or comparative literature OR 3 years of professional experience in editing, publishing, translation, or content strategy
  • Able to articulate nuanced, structured feedback clearly and consistently
  • Exceptional command of written English with a strong editorial eye
  • No prior AI experience required
  • Deep familiarity with literary conventions, rhetorical techniques, and language structure
  • Graduate-level study in English, creative writing, rhetoric, or linguistics
  • Comfortable evaluating written content across diverse genres and topics
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload independently
