About the role, Your Impact

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Water Engineering intern in our Burlington, Janesville, or Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. This on-the job experience will support the firm�s environmental and construction groups with the design and construction of a variety of facilities and offer the opportunity to work directly with firm clients. A variety of responsibilities and duties will provide a well-rounded background in engineering.

What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job

• Assisting senior engineers with the evaluation, study and design of water and wastewater facilities, potable water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations.
• Field work, studies and design of wastewater system rehabilitation.
• Construction work including quantity computation, construction layout, survey and construction inspection.

Education Requirement

• Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering.

Must-haves, what you will bring

• Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0
• Available to start May 2025
• Ability to travel throughout the Wisconsin area (own transportation).
• Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects.
• Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.

Compensation The hourly pay for this role is $22.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
