To provide clinical counseling services to patients and families.
Please note, some evening hours will be required.
1. Performs biopsychosocial assessments
2. Screens new patients in order to evaluate current social, mental health, and medical needs
3. Conducts treatment planning
4. Does individual and group counseling
5. Documents treatment in medical records
6. Presents at case conferences.
7. Manages care assigned to patients.
8. Actively participates in clinical supervision and utilizes direction.
9. Provides reports of clinical services to supervisor when requested.
10. Make referrals to appropriate resources for the ongoing care of patients.
11. Keeps statistics of services provided
12. Interfaces with manage care companies and referral sources to implement treatment plans.
13. Provides consultation to patients throughout AIMS when requested.
14. Provides outreach activities outside the hospital center.
15. Supervises and collects urine specimen for toxicology
16. Assess the need for psychiatric services and makes appropriate referrals
17. Provides intensive case management for patients with multiple problems when necessary
Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred
Completion of CASAC, Social work, or mental health counselling internship
Active New York State Licensure in Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselling (CASAC), Social Work (LCSW or LMSW), Mental Health Counselling (LMHC) preferred

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $36.36 - $42.87 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
