Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of our multi-unit restaurant business. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing timely reporting to management. The Staff Accountant will work closely with both our corporate office and restaurant operations teams to ensure smooth financial processes across all Magic Concepts locations. Key Responsibilities Record and reconcile daily sales, deposits, and cash activity from multiple Wingstop and Jersey Mike’s locations. Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card activity, and balance sheet accounts. Support payroll processing and allocation of labor costs across locations. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Generate and analyze financial statements and management reports, highlighting variances and trends. Collaborate with operations to review food, labor, and controllable costs for efficiency improvements. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Provide documentation and support for external auditors and tax preparers. Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting workflows. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred; restaurant, franchise, or multi-unit industry experience a plus. Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices. Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
