Craftsmen Contractors is hiring experienced Ductwork/Sheet Metal Mechanics for the New Orleans, Louisiana area. This is for commercial projects throughout the city. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, working day shifts. Pay rate is $22 to $24/hour depending on experience No per diem is offered. Weekly pay by direct deposit. Job Duties: • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components according to specifications and blueprints. • Hang and install ductwork and sheet metal. • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks. • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards. • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Job Requirements: • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or Ductwork Mechanic • Strong understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. • Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. • Physical stamina • Ability to lift heavy materials as needed - at least 50 lbs.
