Title: Associate, Provider Engagement - Wellness

Location: Remote

Role Description:

The Provider Engagement Associate will focus on running our engagement programming and wellness initiatives. This role will report to the Manager of Provider Engagement and collaborate closely with the Chief Wellness Officer. This is a high visibility role with opportunity to interface with medical leadership and front-line providers as well as engage with teams from multiple departments on projects related to provider well-being. At Oak Street Health, provider engagement represents a critical value-creation lever and opportunity to impact our organization and communities; this position will be an integral part of the evolution of the way we support our physicians and nurse practitioners to achieve our mission.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as coordinator for Oak Street Health’s wellbeing working groups

    • Help create and launch an improved Well-Being Committee including revamping the program charter, taking meeting notes, and organizing the agenda for each meeting

    • Serve as a liaison between the American Medical Association and Oak Street Health for the Joy in Medicine Recognition program

  • Plan internal and external events for Oak Street Health providers and potential candidates

    • Organize Oak Street Health’s sesquiannual all-provider Grand Rounds event including setting the agenda, owning all-provider communication, and liaising between planning teams

    • Aid in the planning of happy hours and conference booths for national conferences

  • Support the Oak Street Health Early Career Providers Program

    • Expand and develop additional structured programming and support for the numerous new providers who join Oak Street Health from postgraduate training programs

  • Manage engagement programs including organizing events for frontline providers and spearheading rollout of additional programming

    • Run annual Partnership Track application and selection process

    • Plan, schedule, and determine topics for Coffee Chats with leaders, acting as liaison between OSH leaders and front-line providers

  • Execute OSH’s retention strategic plan and track key metrics

    • Create and maintain dashboard of all program elements

    • Work with medical leadership to implement novel programming and policies

  • Other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • 2+ years of project management or healthcare administration

  • B.S./B.A. degree preferred but not required

  • Highly organized individual who can keep multiple tasks moving forward, ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • Exceptional skills in verbal and written communication skills and database management

  • Highly professional communication skills, comfortable networking with senior physicians and other healthcare executives

  • Comfort presenting to and communicating with leaders as well as front line staff, able to prepare written and verbal reports

  • Highly collaborative, able to coordinate across multiple centers, and navigate a matrixed organizational structure

  • Goal-setting and long-range planning: must be able to work with program team to organize and coordinate operations in order to achieve objectives

  • Comfort working with physicians, advanced care providers, and medical leadership

  • Proficiency with standard commercial Office Suite, especially Google Apps for Business and Microsoft Office

  • Ability to function in an entrepreneurial environment and manage in the midst of ambiguity

  • Appreciates a challenge and brings a solution-oriented approach to problems

  • US work authorization
