We are currently seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs professional to join our team as a key player in the Consumer Microbial Control Business. This position is accountable to the Regulatory Affairs Director, NAM, and will provide expert guidance and support to the Home & Personal Care (HPC) segment, as well as the supporting Professional Hygiene (PH) segment.
Responsibilities include providing expert advice and guidance to the HPC Business Team, ensuring compliance of new product initiatives with regulatory requirements, managing the provision and interpretation of regulatory information to both internal and external customers, and managing defence activities for specified active substances/ingredients under review.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in life science or chemistry, at least 5 years of experience and knowledge of the North American chemicals regulatory framework, particularly the FDA pharmaceutical regulations covering hygiene and personal care cosmetic products, EPA FIFRA antimicrobials regulations, and some knowledge of allied regulations (TSCA, Crop Pesticide Products). Good technical understanding of chemistry, efficacy, toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental fate or risk assessment methodologies is also required.
In addition, the candidate should possess strong influencing/negotiation skills (internally, externally, and often at higher levels), a high level of communication skills (written and oral), and the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines with attention to detail. A strategic thinker with a naturally collaborative mindset and the ability to partner with and influence others at all levels of the organization would be ideal for this position.
As a key player in the Consumer Microbial Control Business, this position will interact with stakeholders such as the Arxada Regulatory Affairs team including Global Shared Sciences, HPC Marketing & Sales, R&T, QA, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Authorities.
