LOCATION: Chattanooga, TN


We are looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter, to be responsible for the function of Sales Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is a crucial role in the company as it is tasked with overseeing customer accounts and collecting outstanding balances. The position is located at our Jerome Office in Chattanooga, TN and will report to the Manager of Sales Support for the IPS Group.

Deliverables & Responsibilities

  • Handle all calls from and emails from customers concerning billing questions. This includes invoices for major equipment, parts, and field services.
  • Research and work with various internal departments to resolvebilling disputes, confirm valid charges, and make billing adjustments as needed.
  • Review all accounts and contact customers concerning any pastdue invoices.
  • Send monthly account statements to provide customers with missing invoices or credits.
  • Create and send proforma invoices to customers.
  • Update reports and comments to ensure accurate records and documentation on customer accounts.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the position, the department, and the company.

To be successful in this role, your experience and competenciesare:

  • Minimum of Associate’s Degree with focus in accounting or business OR Minimum of 2 years collections & accounting experience
  • Must have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and able to learn new computer software easily
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to work alone and with a team Must be a self-starter who can meet deadlines and achieve assigned goals
