As a Shelter Advocate with A New Leaf’s Community Alliance Against Family Abuse (CAAFA) Program, you will provide vital support to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming environment within the shelter, offering resources and assistance to help residents regain stability and independence. Key duties include crisis intervention, emotional support, guidance on available resources, and helping residents develop individualized safety plans. Ideal candidates bring empathy, resilience, and a commitment to empowering survivors. This position is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a collaborative and mission-driven team.
Hourly Pay Rate: $18
Location: Apache Junction, AZ (New Hire Orientation held at our HR Campus in Mesa, AZ)
PT Schedule: Friday & Saturday; 6am - 4pm + Sunday 6am - 3pm
Required to complete our "New Hire Orientation" held on the first work week of employment, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm; subject to change upon completion of orientation requirements which may grant early release of orientation before Friday; orientation not offered evenings or weekends.
