The Loudoun County Office of Elections and Voter Registration is seeking Seasonal Assistant Registrars to join our seasonal election support team!

Our office manages all federal, state, and local elections for the voters of Loudoun County, and is dedicated to ensuring that all eligible voters have the right to cast their vote safely, securely, and efficiently. Job Summary

The Office of Elections and Voter Registration is seeking candidates to serve as Seasonal Assistant Registrars to assist with the conduct of the November 5, 2024, General Election. The successful candidates will assist office staff with voter registration related tasks such as data entry, customer service, answering phones, checking reports, filing, etc. Seasonal Assistant Registrars may also be assigned to assist with absentee voting in-person or by-mail, which includes tasks such as processing applications, assisting with the mailing and reconciliation of ballots, assisting voters appearing in person, assisting with the supervision of early voting sites, etc. Work for the Seasonal Assistant Registrars will begin in either August or September, with the bulk of the work in the months of September, October, and November to support the November Election. Hours will vary depending on workload. Additionally Seasonal Assistant Registrars may have the option to remain in the permanent seasonal pool and be called upon to assist around other elections and times of increased workload as needed and available. Seasonal Assistant Registrars are an integral part of the Office of Elections team and help to ensure that each election is conducted successfully and that all registered voters can exercise their right to vote.

Hiring salary commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of related work experience with computer automated systems and Microsoft Office applications experience; prefer elections related experience in a government environment.

Per the Virginia Code, all employees in the Office of Elections and Voter Registration must be registered to vote and reside in the state of Virginia.
