Novamex markets an array of food and beverage brands in a variety of categories. Each brand is a leader in the Hispanic Industry and is well known to our Hispanic shoppers in the U.S. Jarritos, our leading brand, has presence in over 44 countries around the world. We are currently seeking a Sales Representative to join our growing team in the Western Canada area.
BONUS OPPORTUNITY: This position includes an opportunity to earn a bonus equivalent to up to a total of 3 months of the base salary.
Visits retail store locations established by Market Leader/Sales Coordinator to maximize Novamex product visibility and availability in order to increase sales. Display and merchandise product of retail store to attract attention of prospective customers by performing the following duties:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities in both the retail and food service channels to drive sales growth and expand market presence.
• Visit retail and food service accounts according to route or schedule established by Supervisor and complete required forms on app or manually.
• Present current promotions and product programs to store and account personnel to generate incremental sales.
• Effectively use current Point of Sale (POS) materials and marketing tools across all accounts to maximize visibility.
• Present all marketing promotions to buyers, store managers, and food service decision-makers to secure retail space, menu placements, and secondary locations for maximum brand exposure.
• Maintain product availability and rotation across displays, shelves, and service accounts, keeping Out-of-Stock (OOS) situations to a minimum and ensuring product freshness.
• Achieve new item distribution, trade promotion, and marketing goals as assigned by Supervisor.
• Process Secure sales orders from accounts and ensure coordination with the appropriate Distributor or Supplier as per company procedures.
• Build and sustain strong rapport with store-level buyers, grocery managers, food service operators, and other key personnel.
• Ensure all products from the company have visible and clear pricing and are merchandised to company standards.
• Participate in weekend events, demos, or trade activations as required, with advance notice.
• Check in at the start of day in app, complete surveys at every location, and check out at the end of the final account visit.
• Merchandise cold boxes, end caps, displays, or company equipment according to schematic guidelines and ensure consistency in presentation.
• Originate display ideas or follow suggestions or schedules from Supervisor to enhance in-store and on-premise visibility.
• Construct or assemble prefabricated display properties as needed for events, promotions, or showcases.
• Arrange merchandise and promotional materials according to prearranged plans to support seasonal or campaign-based initiatives.
• Place price and descriptive signs on fixtures, backdrops, or merchandise in accordance with brand standards.
• Collaborate with accounts on special projects such as demos, trade events, resets, remodels, new store openings, and food service menu launches.
• Coordinate with Sales Coordinator and demo agencies to ensure secondary displays are aligned with scheduled demos and activations.
• Monitor and report competitive activity such as pricing, promotions, new product introductions, and overall market trends to Supervisor.
• Maintain assigned distribution and display goals across all accounts, ensuring coverage in both retail and food service environments.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support company goals and departmental needs.
Qualifications
The candidate needs to be self-motivated, organized, and highly productive, with the ability to work well on a diverse and highly qualified team in a fast-paced work environment. Be effective in working as a member of a team within the sales department as well as with other personnel and other areas within Novamex.
Excellent customer service skills, analytical abilities as well verbal and written communication skills in English.

Education and Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Bilingual English/Local language prefered. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License in State where working.
