Job Description
My client a multinational manufacturing company is looking to recruit immediately for a 3 month contract role.
Role Summary
Ensure accurate, complete, and timely processing of all General Accounting (GA) transactions in line with SSC accounting guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Process and analyse GA financial data for assigned business units.
• Prepare and post journals, perform month-end US GAAP reporting, and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review P&L and cost centre reports for accuracy; review bank reconciliations.
• Manage manual recharges, quarterly schedules, and large data volumes.
• Own all balance sheet accounts, including reconciliations and monitoring.
• Prepare budgets and manage performance against the Annual Operating Plan.
• Collaborate with AP and AR to resolve issues promptly.
• Produce statutory accounts and audit files for EMEA entities; manage US GAAP to Local GAAP reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany balances, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
• Support US GAAP (ASC740) and local tax computations.
• Ensure timely completion of internal and SOX audits.
• Deliver high-quality service and maintain strong relationships with finance teams and SSC departments.
• Contribute to SSC projects, initiatives, and service level targets.
Essential Requirements
• Qualified Accountant with US GAAP and statutory accounting experience.
• Audit and Sarbanes-Oxley experience.
• Strong ERP and Excel skills.
• Proven business partnering and reconciliation experience.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English with strong reliability and attention to detail.
