DESCRIPTION: The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing care which includes assessment, treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Consults with Physicians. Provides consultation, instruction, and/or technical direction of medical, nursing, and other staff members regarding matters within their scope of practice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Associates required
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess a Georgia license as a Respiratory Care Professional. Must maintain a current CPR card or obtain with 60 days of hire. ACLS, PALS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire, NRP is strongly recommended
EXPERIENCE: Desirable characteristics include at least two years experience in a hospital or medical related environment
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress
