As our service division continues to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled Residential Service Journeyperson Electrician who takes pride in their craft and professionalism. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician who excels in residential troubleshooting, enjoys working directly with homeowners, and represents their company with confidence and integrity. Position Overview The Residential Service Journeyperson Electrician plays a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical solutions in occupied homes. You will be trusted to diagnose issues accurately, communicate clearly with clients, and complete work to the highest industry standards. This is a long-term opportunity with a company that values craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities • Perform residential service calls including diagnostics, repairs, and system upgrades • Install and service panels, breakers, lighting systems, receptacles, switches, and other residential electrical components • Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and provide clear, professional recommendations to homeowners • Ensure all work complies with Alberta Electrical Code and company quality standards • Deliver a premium customer experience through clear communication and respectful on-site conduct • Maintain organized job documentation and service reports • Work independently while upholding company procedures and safety practices • Mentor apprentices when required and support team success Qualifications & Experience • Valid Journeyperson Electrician License (Residential) • Minimum 5 years of residential electrical experience, with a strong service background • Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic expertise • Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented • Solid understanding of local electrical codes and safety standards • Valid driver’s license preferred • Ability to work 40–50 hours per week with overtime as required Compensation & Benefits • Competitive hourly wage: CA$41.00 per hour • Overtime opportunities • Health and dental coverage after 3 months • Wellness program • Ongoing technical training and professional development • Supportive, team-oriented work environment • Opportunities for advancement within a growing company Work Location • In person • Applicants must reliably commute to or relocate to Calgary, AB prior to start date How to Apply Qualified candidates are invited to submit a resume (and optional cover letter) to: inquiries@premierelectrical.ca Subject: Residential Service Journeyperson Electrician Application Premier Electrical Technician Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
