The Center for Urban Research and Education ( CURE ) is seeking a Research Manager (part-time/temporary) for the administration, research and evaluation of the afterschool youth organizing project funded by the Rowan University-Rutgers Camden Board of Governors. This position will work primarily with the department administrator and project co-PIs but will also directly interact with community partners and consultants during program delivery. Key duties are: Provides professional management of assigned duties and assures that the project proceeds as planned. Communicates and collaborates with numerous individuals to maintain involvement in all facets of the project; may be accountable for major project implementation decisions, process design, and participant satisfaction. Demonstrates leadership role in forming and maintaining productive working relationships. May provide instruction to staff, consultants, and volunteers in the implementation of the strategy of CURE . Develops procedures and plans for research project execution and is responsible for ensuring that all external inquiries are effectively resolved. May be recognized as a subject matter expert and acts as a consultant to faculty or staff. This is a grant funded position that will initially be active for a period of 12 months and may be extended contingent upon the availability of funds to support it.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a demonstrated ability to adapt to new tasks and systems Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills Strong oral and written communication skills for both professional and general audiences Office management experience, including: managing supplies, building file structures, maintaining program calendars, and scheduling events Knowledge and understanding of program development and implementation, volunteer management, collaboration/coalition building, youth education, and working with diverse audiences. Experience with primary data collection and analysis preferred but not required.
