This is a part-time, temporary position responsible for assisting the various Real Estate – Property Management Real Estate Tax, Lease Financials, and PM Administration Teams in their daily tasks. These internships have been established for college/university students with Business, Finance, or Accounting Majors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Review incoming mail and assign property number.
Assist with obtaining and paying real estate tax bills.
Research validity of payments per Lease terms and language.
Assist with queries and reporting.
Assist with reimbursements or billing to Landlords or Sellers for proration’s of real estate taxes.
Assist with auditing and reconciliation of common area maintenance charges.
Research validity of reconciliation per Lease terms and language.
Assist with reviewing legal documents and summarizing into database.
Review and enter financials from legal documents.
Assist other members of the Real Estate – Property Management Teams as needed.
Special projects as needed.
Assist with imaging and mail sorting as necessary.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Currently enrolled in a college or university with Business, Finance or Accounting major
Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software
Attention to detail
Ability to reconcile numbers
Accuracy
Ability to work with limited supervision
General understanding of accounting process
