Procurement Manager

Overview: Granger Medical Clinic is seeking an ambitious and compassionate Procurement Manager to join our management team at our corporate headquarters in Taylorsville, Utah. This position is a unique opportunity for a bright, motivated, hands-on supply chain and procurement professional.

The Procurement Manager will be an essential member of the Granger team and will collaborate closely with management, providers, and company colleagues to ensure effective support to our medical clinics and staff. This position will focus on the sourcing, purchasing, tracking, and fulfillment primarily related to supporting our mission of providing the best care possible to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinic Procurement Support: Responsible for meeting the procurement needs of multiple medical clinics. Interface and collaborate with departmental directors, including, but not limited to: marketing, IT, EMR, HR, and Ancillary Services. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously and to balance competing priorities.
  • Timely, Efficient Procurement: Ensure timely procurement of equipment, materials, and supplies through careful order tracking, identification of opportunities for substitution, and negotiation with vendors.
  • Vendor Management: Effective coordination and open, organized communication, information sharing, and tracking between Granger and the selected vendors. Manage the relationship between Granger and key vendors to ensure competitive pricing and fair delivery terms.
  • Identify New Vendors and Alternative Options: Perform research necessary to identify vendors of required parts and materials. Maintain an accurate, organized tracking system of required parts and available vendors.
  • Contract(s) Negotiation, Review, Manage, and Risk Mitigation: Oversees service contracts, negotiate and facility the contract, track expiration dates to avoid expiration. Negotiate with vendors if or when there are issues. Review all Granger Medical Clinic, PC contracts along with other "contract" members of the contract team to review the verbiage of pending contracts to try and prevent risk for Granger Medical Clinic, PC.
  • Manage Inventory and Mailroom Staff: Management of department staff (currently 1 Inventory, 1 Mailroom) by demonstrating effective leadership competency skills, strategic thinking, and motivation. Training and hiring of new team members as needed.
  • Mailroom: Manage the daily operations of the corporate mailroom to ensure the timely and efficient handling of all correspondence, packages, and materials to be delivered to multiple Granger clinics.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to eight (8) years of experience working in a sourcing or procurement role. Experience in health sector procurement is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and focus on achieving results.
  • Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude.
  • Advanced competence in professional software programs, including Google Suite, Zoom, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)

The salary range listed is the base salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to work experience, education, and/or skill level.
