Iconica is seeking a Preconstruction/Estimating Intern to join our team for summer 2025! Join our growing team and be a part of something transformative!As a Preconstruction Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Preconstruction Managers, playing a key role in bridging design and construction. You’ll gain hands-on experience in:
- Collaborating with architecture, engineering, and construction teams.
- Attending pre-bid meetings and visiting project sites.
- Reading and interpreting project specifications and construction drawings.
- Using industry-leading software, such as On-Screen Takeoff, Autodesk Assemble, Excel, Revit, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Plan-Room, and more.
- Building and maintaining historical cost databases.
- Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to gather and evaluate quotes.
- Assisting with project schedule and budget preparation.
- Enrollment in an Architectural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering program or Construction Management program.
- Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred).
- Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- High initiative and passion for learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
