About the Role:
A TPH Plumber/Apprentice Plumber will report to the Site Supervisor or Dispatcher and be responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and certification of all plumbing systems and components.
Responsibilities:
• Provide for installation of plumbing, pipes, fitting, equipment, and fixtures
• Write and read installation manuals; fill forms and reports
• Prioritize and complete all assign work orders by working independently and in teams with minimum supervision to assess situations, implement actions, and perform physical work/tasks
• Ensure that all plumbing installation are in conjunction with all applicable codes and best practices
• Access appropriate information to source and order materials needed for installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing/piping system
• Manage hot work permits and follow lock out/tag out procedures
• Participate in the review of new project drawings and specifications to give input to ensure plan and specifications meet TPH requirements and standards
• Use trade expertise to prepare all relevant safe work practice, documentation, procedures and emergency response protocols to ensure quick and effective response in case of emergency
• Work in compliance and with understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario
• Perform after-hours emergency service calls or have after-hours work availability
What You'll Bring:
• 1+ years of experience in the plumbing industry is required
• Valid Certified Journeyman Plumber or Apprentice Plumber license is required
• Valid Driver’s License
• Good understanding of structural drawings and specifications
• Experience in industrial/commercial plumbing is an asset
• Team player who can work independently
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
