POSITION: Plumber SALARY $30 an hour For over 100 years the Alameda County Fairgrounds & Event Center has been a part of the community hosting live horse racing, over 250 events a year and an annual Fair that includes live concerts, tasting fests and cultural festivals that bring in nearly a half-million guests every summer. We are the Alameda County Agricultural Fair Association, a non-profit dedicated to managing the Fairgrounds.

Responsibilities · Installing or maintaining hot · Repairing sanitation systems · Installing and repairing plumbing

· Performing and taking regular water samples for submission to testing agency
· Repairing and/or replacing broken and inoperable bathroom fixtures
· Installing or maintaining hot water heating systems
· Repairing sanitation systems

· Maintaining water distribution system for potable water and grounds usage
· Installing and repairing plumbing lines, pipes and valves
· Clearing and/or unclogging drains
· Emergency repairs as needed

Required Skills & Experience · Must have or be · Ability to operate and · Ability to work a

· Must have or be able to obtain within 6 months a Certified Water Operator’s License from the California Department of Water Resources
· Ability to work independently or with a team and complete daily activities according to work schedule
· Ability to operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely
· Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and nights

· Ability to install, maintain and repair broad range of plumbing fixtures and components, pumps and valves as appropriate to the trade
· Ability to analyze and respond safely and appropriately to emergency situations
· Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with co-workers
· Knowledge of first aid and safety precautions
