The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s Anderson County Hospital in Garnett, KS is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative to join our team. You will perform a variety of functions related to managing the accounts receivable, following established processes and polices for billing and reimbursement and customer service.
Shift Details:
- Full-Time, Days, 40hrs/wk.
The Work:
- Performs claim edits
- Verifies insurance coverage
- Follows up with payors on open accounts
- Performs denials and payment variances
- Demonstrates excellent customer service
- Review and manage work queue to identify daily work
- Utilizes eligibility systems, online websites, or phone calls to determine insurance benefits
- Enter pertinent insurance information into EPIC
- Enter appropriate notes for all patients encounters
- Handling payment arrangements, financial assistance and billing questions and concerns
- Other duties as assigned
Experience with facility claim submission for a hospital system is preferred.
Epic experience a plus.
We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate has strong computer and critical thinking skills and has the ability to multitask.
