ÂFUNCTION |
This position has direct responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the housing program. Youth Counselors create and supervise a safe, affirming environment for residents to meet their needs and progress on goals. They provide one-on-one and group counseling and oversee the functioning of the site. Youth Counselors must be organized and able to work and solve problems independently and communicate effectively with supervisors. |

TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS |
Computer knowledge and competent writing skills. |
PREFERRED QUALITIES |
Experience working with adolescent/young adult population required. Knowledge of psychosocial needs of LGBTQ/homeless population is helpful. Working knowledge of trauma-informed and harm reduction service models Transgender & gender non-conforming people are encouraged to apply. Bilingual (Spanish) speaking people are encouraged to apply. Weekend and evening hours are required. |
