JOB SUMMARY
Perform a variety of duties in the Senior Center related to helping Senior Citizens in Iron County obtain information on and assistance from available senior programs while also seeking out information from agencies that provide needed services. Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Works under the general guidance and direction of the COA Center Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent with one (1) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must have and maintain a valid Utah Drivers License.
Must maintain compliance with Iron County Vehicle policy - including maintaining and acceptable driving record.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen and maintain compliance of Iron County drug and alcohol policies and guidelines.
Ability to work with people, especially with the elderly, understanding of their needs and compassion for the disabled and minority individuals.
Must keep records and findings confidential.
Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work activities; communicate effectively with staff and public.
