2. The Role

This Senior Practice Accountant position is a broad and engaging role covering accounts preparation for SME clients, tax compliance across personal and corporate portfolios, and involvement in audit engagements from planning through completion. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, contribute to the smooth running of assignments, support junior staff, and gradually take on increasing leadership responsibilities within the practice.

The firm welcomes applications not only from experienced practice accountants, but also from audit professionals within larger firms who want to diversify their experience and gain hands-on exposure to SME audit, tax compliance, and financial accounting. This role offers the opportunity to broaden your technical portfolio significantly.

3. The Ideal Candidate

You will be a qualified or senior-level accountant with experience in practice or audit. You should be confident working directly with clients, comfortable managing multiple assignments, and motivated by the chance to broaden your technical skills beyond a narrow specialism. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving client problems are key.

This role suits someone who wants to move beyond purely audit-focused work, build a rounded practice skill set, and position themselves for long-term leadership.
