Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations. Left Hand RiNo Eats and Drink is located right in from of the Mission Ballroom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service, managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:

  • Manage the daily operations of the kitchen, providing professional leadership and direction to all personnel.
  • Supervise cooks and manage the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food items.
  • Manage kitchen staff and cook, develop new recipes, inventory and ordering
  • Manage kitchen staff, delegates responsibilities, place food order, prepare menus and prepare food base on recipes.
  • Manage the daily operation of food production for patients, guests and employees as well as all internal and external catering.
  • Oversee and train new employees in food preparation and production, including cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
  • Monitor and train all on food safety, prepare for FDA & health department inspection at all times.
  • Ensure storage and on-line organization in accordance to FIFO (first-in, first-out) to maximize efficiency and regulate overproduction.
  • Order all drink, food and supplies including high-end items from specialty vendors

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • 5+ years previous Culinary/Kitchen Manager experience.
  • 3+ years previous BOH experience.
  • Knowledge of restaurant software: scheduling, inventory, POS. MenuWizard (or similar).
  • Business acumen in order to manage P&L and run a profitable organization.
  • Extensive food knowledge - service, preparation, ingredients, food and beverage menu engineering/pairing.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual-Spanish strongly preferred
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certified.

This is a full-time position with a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan, ESOP, paid time off, and of course world class beer. We do not cover relocation costs.
