The New York Post is looking for talented Opinion Interns!

The Post has been sharing our opinions ever since Alexander Hamilton got us started. Every day, we work relentlessly to find oxes that need goring — and then let loose!

We’ve only amped it up in the digital age, which expands not only our brand’s reach but also our potential targets — even as we ensure that The Post’s unique “voice” remains unmistakable.

Candidates should be up on US politics and policy issues, with a strong grounding in American and world history. Knowledge of NYC and environs preferred but not essential.

This will be a Monday-Friday schedule.

Primary responsibilities:

• Identify hot topics he or she can write informed commentary on. We’ll then assign the intern to execute a draft editorial.

• Ideally, learn enough to contribute a signed column.

• As assigned, contribute to our daily Fast Takes feature by summarizing outside opinion pieces.

• Assist members of the Editorial Board with research or reporting for their work.

Qualifications:

• Excellent writing skills.

• Familiarity with right-of-center views on US politics and policy —and lefty ones, too. (Know the opposition!)

• A passion for political opinion.

Interested candidates should submit their resume, a cover letter, and a recent writing sample (preferred opinion clipping) for consideration.

Pay Range: $16/hr - $16/hr
