Job Description

Idaho Forest Group is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Intern.
The Accounts Payable Intern will care for specific assignments throughout the internship.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Review and process vendor invoices and code them to the appropriate GL accounts
  • High volume of accounts payable for multiple internal entities with excellent attention to detail
  • Analyze, prepare and input data
  • Match received purchase orders with invoices and coordinate with purchasing to resolve discrepancies
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly account reconciliations. Prepare journal entries.
  • Internal report writing and preparation. Exposure to Enterprise level accounting and management software.
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Assist with general accounting month end closing procedures
  • Assist with year end closing and audit preparation
  • Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Support the accounting team and assist with special projects
  • Other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing or have recently graduated with an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Must be a rising sophomore or higher, minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Familiarity with accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have own housing and transportation, none will be provided

Physical Requirements:
Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement. Sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs. Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).
