JOB SUMMARY:

Provide addiction counseling and case management services to residential patients. Assure adherence to state statutes and rules, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock’s Mission to the community.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Conducts individual, group and family therapy in accordance with Rimrock’s policies.
  2. Prepares timely and accurate records on patients and maintains substantial compliance on medical records audits in accordance with Rimrock’s policies and procedures, CARF and Montana state standards.
  3. Provides individualized treatment plans for all admitted patients, and provides biopsychosocial assessments on assigned cases and interprets the biopsychosocial database for the purpose of identifying and prioritizing the clinical problems to be addressed.
  4. Provides therapeutic education lectures to patients on topics assigned by supervisor.
  5. Assures adequacy of the clinical data for each patient.
  6. Coordinates and monitors the appropriateness and flow of all treatment services for patients.
  7. Recommends appropriate therapy for discharge planning services.
  8. Accurately complete continued stay review and request for information documentation in a timely manner as indicated by utilization review through assigned client stay.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field. Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or other Behavioral Science degree preferred. Must be Licensed Addiction Counselor in Montana or eligible for licensing. LCPC or LCSW license and experience as a therapist preferred. CPR/First Aid certified.


SKILLS:

Ability to organize work and maintain schedule; ability to establish rapport with patients and facilitate healing. Knowledge of essentials methodology of addictions treatment. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel and Outlook.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work is indoors in a residential environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping is required. A typical workday involves sitting, frequent use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS:

Involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in a residential setting. Work may involve mental and emotional stress. Some driving required. Will work primarily at a residential facility.
