INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INTERN (I.T.)

$19.96/Hour Part-time - Flexible & Variable Hours

Tooele City is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Intern to join our team! This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals seeking to gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment. Whether youve acquired your technical knowledge through school, training programs, or personal projects, this internship will allow you to apply your skills in a real-world setting. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, youll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to our IT support team.

Schedule: Flexible hours. May work between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, as scheduled with supervisor. This allows you to balance work with your other commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation of software on employee computers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues such as system malfunctions and error messages under the direction of technicians.
  • Support the installation and setup of desktops and laptops as directed by technicians.
  • Provide general IT support to employees as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 17 years of age or older.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Utah State Drivers License for at least 12 months.
  • If over age 18, will require police security background clearance.
  • Basic understanding of IT principles and practices through school or other training.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
