Job Description
We are hiring an industrial electrician for a food manufacturing industry.
The job duties:
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of meat processing and packaging equipment.
• Robot and HMI troubleshooting.
• Preventative maintenance and equipment repair of production, automation, and support equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and electronic device integration.
• Perform installations to correct operational errors and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in mechanical work including breakdowns and changeovers as needed.
• Participate in new equipment launches and help support introduction of new technology, or new applications or programs for current equipment as required.
• Perform set up and calibration for equipment and control instrumentation as required
• Responsible for maintaining food safety standards and report food safety issues to QA immediately.
• Work in a safe manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Follow all prescribed SOPs, HACCP and GMP procedures
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Electrician License (442A or 309A)
• 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility
• Strong knowledge of HMI and control applications
• Experience with automated equipment
• Ability to interpret and design electrical schematics
• Read, write, and communicate (English)
• Proficient mathematical and computer skills
• Mechanical aptitude with a good knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods, and trade practices
• Ability to lift 60lbs and work in cold
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good communication and organization skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
The schedule is Monday to Friday - 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm
Location: Brantford, ON
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $42.76 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
