Job Description
If you’re an HR professional who enjoys being in the middle of the action—solving real employee issues, partnering closely with leaders, and making judgment calls that matter—this role might be exactly what you’re looking for.
This is an opportunity with our client to step into a high-impact HR Generalist role at a large, established manufacturing operation where employee relations, trust, and credibility are key. You’ll work hands-on with leaders and employees across multiple shifts, helping guide decisions, resolve issues, and strengthen workplace culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Serve as a trusted HR partner to leaders and employees across a large, complex workforce
• Lead and support employee relations matters, including investigations and recommending appropriate courses of action
• Advise leaders on performance management, conflict resolution, and employee issues with confidence and discretion
• Support workforce initiatives such as performance reviews, workforce trends, and organizational planning
• Collaborate with HR partners on areas including FMLA, ADA, and compliance-related matters
• Use HR data and insights to identify trends and help leaders make informed decisions
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in all situations
What They’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of HR experience with hands-on employee relations exposure
• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment—ideally supporting a large employee population
• Comfortable navigating strong personalities and addressing sensitive issues with tact and confidence
• Strong judgment, independence, and the courage to make fact-based decisions
• Ability to build trust and credibility with leaders and employees at all levels
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
Schedule & Work Environment
• Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Must be able to overlap with second and third shifts as needed
• Business casual dress code
• After training, eligible for one remote day per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday)
Why This Role Stands Out
• Join a stable, well-established organization with strong leadership
• Family-friendly culture—rare in large manufacturing environments
• Visible, meaningful HR work where your input and judgment truly matter
• Broad exposure across employee relations, leadership consulting, and HR operations
If you enjoy being a calm, confident HR presence in a fast-paced environment—and want a role where you’re trusted to do the right thing—this could be a great next step.
