HR Generalist/Talent Acquisition
6 Month Contract then Direct Hire
$65k – 83k
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure organizational compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies.
- Prepare and processes bi-weekly payroll, 401k contributions, and payroll journal entries.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
- Required Skills / Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of related state and federal labor laws and legislation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be tactful, empathetic, thoughtful, energetic, and an active listener.
- Resourceful, collaborative, adaptable, and the ability to think on your feet.
- Social media savvy for purposes of recruiting.
- Must always maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to foster work relationships and build morale.
- Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices (compensation, performance management, hiring, and employee relations
Education and Experience:
Associate degree and eight (8) years of human resource management related work experience
PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification.
BS degree in Human Resources or related field, a plus.
