Job Opening: Heavy Duty Diesel Technician Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana Full-Time | Competitive Pay | Benefits Available About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team in Baton Rouge. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment. Responsibilities: • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems. • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and heavy equipment. • Execute road-side and/or onsite mobile service repair as needed. This may include evenings/weekends. • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues. • Maintain accurate service records and documentation. • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. • Work efficiently as a vital member of the team, ensuring completion of all tasks timely while fostering a positive attitude. Requirements: • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic (3+ years preferred). • Knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems and diesel engines. • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. • ASE or OEM certifications are a plus. • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required). • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Availability for on-call rotation schedule (nights and weekends as needed).
