This position starts at $18.40/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. We have an open position for 2nd Shift.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Forklift Operator is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position will perform general shipping duties to include but not limited to: pick orders, verify invoices, fill out load sheets, receive incoming product, verify incoming loads, operate standup forklifts, complete Pre-Operational inspections on all Powered Industrial Truck equipment, maintain accurate inventory, assist with inventory counts, assist with employee product sales, learn export procedures for international loads, ship product in the proper rotation relating to customer need, keep the equipment cleaned and in proper condition, repair busted boxes and pallets, and perform housekeeping to the USDA Standards. Team Members may work in other departments when instructed according to production needs.

Requirements:

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• A minimum work history of 6 months work experience with one employer in the last 24 months.
• Will need to be able to wear proper safety equipment.
• Must be able and willing to work week-ends and overtime.
• Must be able to complete and pass the Power Industrial Truck Training class and tests
• Must be able to work in temperatures of 28 degrees most of the day and -20 degrees as needed.
• Must be able to understand safety rules and warnings.

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to three (3) times of employment.
