Iconica is seeking a Field Engineer & Safety Intern to join our team for summer 2025! Join our growing team and be a part of something transformative!In this role, you’ll work closely with Field Superintendents and Carpenters, gaining hands-on experience in:
- Promoting job site safety by participating in safety meetings, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
- Assisting in developing and implementing safety plans and procedures to create a safe work environment for all team members.
- Coordinating with subcontractors and construction project managers to keep tasks on schedule.
- Constructing, installing, and remodeling wood and steel structures using hand and power tools.
- Learning the proper sequence of activities to assemble a building.
- Reviewing subcontractor scopes of work, conducting shop drawing reviews, and following up on punch list and warranty items.
- Assisting with quality control by helping create punch lists and verifying completed work.
- Supporting project schedules and safety initiatives to meet client commitments.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Construction Management program.
- Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred).
- Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- High initiative and passion for learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
