About Modern Automotive Modern Automotive is a growing, fast-paced auto repair shop located in Vaughan, Ontario. We specialize in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Our fully equipped shop is staffed by a team of skilled professionals who take pride in delivering top-quality automotive service. We’re currently hiring for two positions: • Licensed Automotive Service Technician (310S) • 3rd Year Automotive Apprentice Mechanic If you’re looking for a hands-on, full-time role in a professional and supportive environment, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities: • Perform automotive repairs and diagnostic procedures. • Conduct vehicle inspections, pre- and post-repair test drives. • Complete routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake services, and tire installations. • Disassemble engines and vehicle components for inspection or repair. • Use automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify issues. • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas. • Receive and inspect parts deliveries for accuracy. • Work under supervision (for apprentices) or independently (for licensed techs). Qualifications: For Licensed Technician: • 310S Automotive Service Technician Certification (preferred). • 2+ years of experience as a licensed technician. • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. For Apprentice Mechanic: • Registered as a 3rd Year Automotive Apprentice in Ontario. • Minimum of 2 years of shop experience. • Eagerness to learn and improve hands-on skills. General Requirements: • Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License with clean driving record. • Must live in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail. • Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
