The Executive Cafe Chef role at The Nash Casino is a pivotal leadership position within the culinary team at the Woodland Cafe. This role is responsible for managing the daily kitchen operations, ensuring that recipes are consistently followed, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality. The Executive Cafe Chef leads a team of Sous Chefs and hourly kitchen staff, overseeing their scheduling, recruitment, and professional development. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, financial management, and cost control, this role helps maintain efficient service flow and exceptional guest satisfaction. The Chef works closely with the Assistant Food and Beverage Director to support food quality, handle inventory, conduct financial reviews, and implement cost-control measures. This position demands a motivated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards while fostering a professional and positive kitchen culture. The role also involves direct interaction with guests and front-of-house staff, requiring excellent communication and leadership skills. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years of specialized culinary experience and the ability to manage a large culinary team effectively.

• ability to work a variety of shifts including day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holidays
• pass all required pre-screening and background checks
• internal candidates require 6 months in current position without disciplinary action
• ability to obtain necessary work cards and non-gaming registration
• ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• ability to work in fast-paced and sometimes loud environments
• ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
• strong physical and mental stamina
• comply with company safety and legal standards
• ability to handle guest interactions professionally
